2007 Junior Golf Program

P.G.A. Professional Peter Reif and staff will offer a 10 week program for 2008. Every Friday our goal will be to offer instructional skills including course management, rules, etiquette, and golf terminology.

Program Dates and Times:

Ages 14-18 8:30 a.m. - These juniors will be encouraged to play 18 holes.

Ages 12-13 9:15 a.m. - These juniors will be encouraged to play 9 holes

Ages 10-11 10:00 a.m. - These juniors will be encouraged to play 9 holes.

Ages 7-9 11:00 a.m. - These juniors will play 3 holes.

START DATE FRIDAY JUNE 13, 2008. • END DATE FRIDAY AUGUST 15, 2008.

The final session August 17 will include lunch and awards.

The registration fee per junior is $35.00 if they are included under a family membership. Juniors without a family membership, the fee is $80.00 through 4th grade, $185.00 through 8th grade, $225.00 through 12th grade, plus the $35.00 registration fee. Rainouts will not be rescheduled.

Junior Golfers’ Rules & Regulations

Junior golfers 10 and over will be allowed to play without an adult at designated times. Junior golfers may play with an adult anytime except Thursdays, 11:30am to 4:30 p.m. Junior golfers under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Junior Golf Events

There are 3 junior golf exchanges scheduled for 2008. The junior golfers are invited to the various courses to play a 9-hole tournament, have lunch, and receive prizes. The golfers must be members of their respective clubs. A nominal fee will be charged to cover green fees, lunch, and prizes.

Big Brother / Big Sister Sponsorship Program

Any member may sponsor a child (other than their own) in the Junior Golf Program
The member should ensure their sponsored child has appropriate equipment and should also occasionally play with them
The Club should maintain a list of prospective players (possibly acquired through schools in the area)
Possibly hold a tournament for sponsor and child
Ask member to donate old or used clubs and equipment they are no longer using to help equip children in this program
Cost to member $225.00 High School + $35.00 = $255.00 discounted to $235.00; $185.00 Junior + $35.00 = $220.00 discounted to $190.00; $80.00 Youth + $35.00 = $115 discounted to $85.00
